Missouri has several species of rats and mice but the most common home invaders are the House Mouse and the Brown Rat.
House Mat
The House Mouse is the most common mammal invader you will deal with in your home as there are more mice living with around people than there are in the wilderness, hence the name.
Brown Rat
The Brown Rat is the common rodent found in urban areas but is actually not even native to North America and is believed to originate from China and Mongolia.
