Odorous House Ant

Odorous House Ant (Tapinoma sessile) Their colonies contain multiple nests with multiple queens. They forge mainly for honeydew which is produced by aphids and small insects, floral nectar, and sugary foods. Color ranges from black to brown and varies in length from 1/16 to ⅛ of an inch. This is the most common species we deal with in our residences and businesses.

Carpenter Ant

Carpenter Ants come in many different colors but primarily you will see the typical large black ants. To the untrained eye termite damage and carpenter ant damage in wooden structures may appear similar but there are key indicators that will show the difference. An active carpenter ant colony will leave saw dust type material where they are excavating a nest, this due to the fact that Carpenter Ants do not actually eat and digest the wood they are nesting in. While they typically nest outdoors, Carpenter Ants will nest within a home and this is usually a sign there are other underlying issues with home as Carpenter Ant nests are built in damp moist wood

Pharaoh Ant

 Pharaoh Ant size is two millimeters long. They are yellow or light brown, and are almost transparent. One of the hardest ants to control as the colony will split into several
